There are more than twenty thousand WordPress plugins that can take the foundational WordPress blog platform and transform it into nearly anything you can imagine. Some of them include having more secure blogging that protects your website while others make it easier for social media and search engines to find what you have to offer and drive in more traffic.
But do not hear me saying that you need to install every single one of these plugins. (In fact, if you do, several of the plugins will conflict with others on the list and break your website) So enjoy this list, but remember that less is more and you should only install those that you really need.
Here are some interesting things I drew from the infographic:
- Only one of the plugins suggested have lower than a 3-star rating.
- 12 of the plugins listed are designed for bringing in better traffic, whether through SEO or social media sharing.
- About a third of the plugins’ sole purpose is to make blogging (whether setting up or continuing to blog) easier than if you did it without them.
