Do you still use XP?
I have to admit, Windows XP turned out to be a rock solid OS. It is still used by many, especially those using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) since many audio plugin developers still haven’t gone 64-bit, yet.
In fact, when my family and I moved to Italy over two years ago, you could still get new computers with XP installed at the store. Amazing, right? Windows XP was released in 2001!
Finally, Microsoft has announced support end dates for their “latest” OS’:
- Windows XP 4/8/2014
- Windows Vista 4/11/2017
- Windows 7 1/14/2020
That should put Windows XP as one of the longest supported compter OS’ in computer history with almost 13-years of support.
Not too shabby.
Are you still using XP?
Ready to make the switch or will you wait a few more years?

True. There’s greatness in it’s simplicity.
