Windows 8 Phone To Have Screenshot Abilities – Who Cares?

One of the frustrations of Windows phone users has been the lack of an ability to take screenshots. I remember when I first had my Android phone and it didn’t have that functionality built in (you had to root it first) and it was annoying.

Well, with Windows 8 phones, users will be able to grab those all important screen shots of the weather forecast they can tweet to followers!

I kid. It is a nice feature to have and there are more important reasons for wanting to grab a screenshot. Here is a quick video showing it will work:

With the release of Windows 8 which promises seamless integration across all platforms (and a tablet release), it appears Microsoft is truly attempting to step up their game instead of playing catch up and trying to convince consumers they have something new.

What do you think?

I find it very useful for bug reporting, i know that it was taken out of the “final” build of iOS 1.0 and the reporters and book writers who had early access to the phones told apple to put it back in so they could continue to write their books easily.

Yes! Reporting errors and other bugs do make it very useful.

Yeah, it’s far from “killer app” functionality, but I would definitely use it on Android were it available.

IDK, were I not so invested in the Google-verse (gmail, calendar, reader, etc.) I might consider switching to WindowsPhone. LOVE the Metro UI… or whatever they’re calling it now.

Yeah it is hard to break out of that zone when so tied to world of Google.

Temperature screen shots–that’s close to being an “unfriend” offense on Facebook.
