Google Plus came in with a fury of invitations and the web was buzzing with questions about the future dominance of Facebook.
Now that the web has settled down and Facebook has had a chance to hook-in new features that resemble some of the huge advantages of Google Plus (Circles), we begin to see the initial predicted doom of Facebook diminish.
Honestly, I really thought Google Plus might steal the show. There are some that really love it, while others feel like it’s really fallen flat.
I really like Google Plus. The only problem? Most of my friends are still on Facebook. The interesting thing, though, is that my Google Plus account is full of new friends.
So, who is on Google Plus, anyway?

I now spend less time on Facebook, since my attention is now divided more with the addition of Google Plus.
How about you?

I, almost certainly, still spend as much time on facebook as ever I did. But the reason for that is simple – it’s only for family and friends. I’ve never set out to use FB as a social media push platform but as a means to keep in touch with my disparate and extended family / friends.
I like +, but at present I’m finding getting it optimised for my tastes an uphill task – so it’ll end up being YAT (yet another twitter) in the fact that I’ll look at what’s present in my timeline now or recently and not dig into my circles.

Couldn’t agree with you more. It does feel like an uphill task.

I spend almost no time on either platform.

What platforms do you spend time?

I too use facebook (obviously more than G+) and I believe some of my friends too. I have to much stuff and time invested in fb that It’s not going to be easy to leave it or migrate it. Just like that old AOL account you kept for so many years after dialup went away 🙂

That’s an excellent comparison, one I’ve made before. https://churchm.ag/the-death-of-facebook/
