Not the iPhone.
Not the iPad.
Not the iPod.
In fact, it doesn’t start with an “i” and it’s not made by Apple.
It’s made by Microsoft.
That’s right!
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect.
Guinness gaming editor Gaz Deaves said this:
The sales figures here speak for themselves. We can confirm that no other consumer electronics device sold faster [than the Kinect] within a 60-day time span, an incredible achievement considering the strength of the sector.
If you don’t know what it is, think of a Nintendo Wii without the Wii remote. Yeah. Cool, right?
In comparison, the iPad sold 2 million units in its first 60 days while the Kinect sold 8 million units!
Pretty amazing, even when you factor in the differing price points.
