One of the most interesting trends in website design is the changed use of fonts. As computer screens have increased in resolution and more and more people use mobile gadgets to surf, web design has had to change as well.
Many of those changes have had to do with a different use of fonts: increased font size for body text, more (white) space (also since we’ve finally let go of the above-the-fold-myth) and use of creative fonts and typography.
There are some trends that I love and definitely a few that I strongly dislike, such as the use of colored headlines.
Bit too tabloid-like for me.
Seeing some of these beautiful designs has made me realize, however, I could really improve on my use of fonts on my site. Have a look and get inspiration for a partial or complete overhaul of your web design!

I’m a fan of clean, minimal looking sites, so I tend toward fonts that fit that look and feel. Not necessarily sans-serif, but definitely a minimal amount of curls and fluff. If you get too creative with your fonts, it can date the site or design you’re working on.
