When IGTV launched we had a debate on this ChurchMag Podcast (#cmagcast) on how churches should approach it. I advocated they immediately jump on it because of its connection to Instagram. My thinking was with an existing user base it was a no-brainer. Jeremy suggested a more calculated approach especially with limited team resources and capacity. Since the very beginning, I have been pushing my other website ChurchAndMentalHealth.com to be forward thinking. So when I knew I was going to do featured images with every article, I needed to decide on the ratio. But I know that the biggest reason for featured images is the social media platform you plan to use. And seeing as Instagram is doing nothing but increasing in strength as well as being image-focused, I decided to make all of my images Instagram-friendly.
This allows me to capitalize on these landscapes as well as make my blog image forward. Because I couldn’t find their website I searched for them on Facebook. I asked for service times until 363 days later. No kidding. Two days shy of a year, I got a response.
