Eric doesn’t know that I am publishing this. In fact, we have hijacked the website just to love on Eric. Below are our own experiences and thoughts of Eric as he has not only run and grown, but also has managed us. He has shown the love to us and to you the readers, so we figured it was time to show him a little love.
So without further ado, here are our stories about Eric.
As much as Churchmag is a team effort, Eric is the proverbial glue that binds us together. He’s not only a terrific and incredibly productive writer, he’s also genuinely humble (and is in all likelihood highly embarrassed about us writing and posting all this!). I love his passion and vision for Churchmag and I feel so blessed to be a part of it!
Seeing as both Eric and I are English speaker who lives and works in non-English speaking countries, Eric has always shown me support and understand over how tricky it can be. He has been a great support professionally, creatively and most importantly spiritually. He has such an amazing passion for the church that you can’t help but be inspired by. He’s put me right when I’ve got off track and encouraged me when I’ve felt down. Churchmag wouldn’t be half as good as it is without him.
Hello there, ChurchMag Reader! Perhaps you’re wondering who Eric Dye is? Whose the man behind the beard? Simply put, he’s the Gandalf in this fellowship. He’s the one who knows where we’re going, and he’s going to do his best to make sure we all get there together…assuming no one’s seen a balrog around.
In all seriousness, Eric is a leader, a visionary, and a friend: the heart and soul of ChurchMag.
As a man that finds humility in the times where most of us would post, in needing to be supportive when we are at our lowest, and praising us for when we rock it, I am truly blessed to call him friend. It should also be noted that he may be the nerdiest person I have ever met which in my book is absolutely awesome!
We’d love for you to share your own thoughts and experiences of Eric in the comments. And Eric, thanks for letting us celebrate you a little!
