When I recently started learning the Ukulele, I wanted to learn some worship songs to play on it. Like most instrumments, on the uke, it’s easier to play songs in certainly keys than others (E is very tricky on the uke!).
So I looked online for sites with songs in the right keys and I found some great resources that can even transpose songs for you!
Worship Archive and PWarchive are sites which both have the chords for a good range of worship songs (more new than old). You can browse by Song Name or Author on both sites.
The really nice feature on both sites is the ability to choose what key the chords are in (C or G are the best on the uke!).
PWarchive has been around longer and has a wider range of songs but many are only the chords – no words! Worship Archive also has a newest songs feed, which is a nice touch.
If you’ve already got the chords for a song that you’d like transposed then Transposr comes to the rescue! You can copy & paste to transpose a song. You can also upload an MP3 and get it transposed without changing the tempo.(Great fun if you want to make a song sound like the chipmonks or Barrie White!)
Are there other online worship tools like this that you use?

I tend to use Tabs for Worship — http://www.tabsforworship.com
More songs than the others, and well organized, but no transposer built in. Some songs have tabs in a variety of keys, but in most cases you need to do it by hand.
http://www.iwillworship.com is pretty solid too.

Thanks for the links Mickey. I will worship seems to be having some scripting probs at the moment – but I’ll certainly keep them in mind!

I’ve used http://chords.fm to automatically figure out chords to a song… “Chords! Online is the world’s most accurate harmony recognition service”.
