TinyChat.com is pretty slick.
With literally 2 (or 3) clicks you can be video conferencing with others, sharing files, and even screensharing.
I did a very quick adhoc test and 12 courageous web-cam-enabled Tweets came to help me stress test the application.
Some things of note:
- There is a cap on the amount of video streams set at 12.
- Up to 100 users can be viewing though.
- File sharing and screen sharing is super simple and easy to do.
- You can boot, mute, change volume settings of all of the users (very nice feature here for moderation).
- Video quality is pretty good, all things considered.
- Text chatting is enabled with URLs auto-generated.
- You can use Twitter to get the word out with a few clicks. Very nice feature.
The Pro Version has some additional features:
- You can save the entire session (very cool) and record.
- It’ll cost you $20 per month.
- Passwords for privacy enabled at the Pro Level.
- Higher video quality enabled.
- Reserve up to 5 names for rooms.
All in all it could be a very handy (and quick) video conferencing solution for ministry or just creative meetings. The file sharing and screen-sharing is something that really sets it apart.
Thanks to those that helped me test! And look, they all did the “Human3rror” look (after the jump)!

how does it compare to tokbox?
human3rror says
it's different… and the screensharing and filesharing is awesome.
the pro version is also pretty attractive because of the recording and export feature.

Thanks John – that was a lot of fun. Also good to know what it can do. Seems like a great application and I'm sure I'll be using it in the future.

Very cool. My wife and I just tried it out from across the room. It auto tweeted that we were in the room. Is there a way to not do that? Maybe I missed something.

Had fun with you guys! We will have to do it again and do something more productive next time :). Pretty cool stuff; I think I will be using this one for meetings and such in the future

thanks for joining us!

Cool. I tried to log on, but it said all the spots were filled. Even though I could see my login name on one of the cubes.

i think there were definitely some technical issues with our test…

that's awesome! looks like a decent alternative to tokbox and I love the social media icons at the bottom.

Did you guys experience delays? I tried it out and with the video on there was a delay of a couple of seconds, with just audio there was a smaller but still noticeable delay.
human3rror says
it refreshes like every second…
