As technology has progressed and become easier and less expensive to build, those savings have been passed on to the consumers.

Here’s two ways to look at these prices:
- The top of the line iMac is the 27″ quad core version which goes for $2000. In 1985 dollars it would cost $976.
- The 10MB hard drive which went for $3500 in 1981 would cost you $8150 today.
