Eric,
I received an email from Victoria from themefuse indicating that I has won The Core. I replied back with the info she requested, but I have yet to hear back, or find the theme in my account there.
Any word?
Eric Dye says
Let me send them an email… 🙂
Mike says
any word yet, Eric? I have emailed them twice, but they will not respond. 🙁
Mike says
My biggest fear is getting a theme that is not easy to modify the layout and we are stuck with someone else’s idea of how the page should look.

What are your expectations and fears when choosing a WordPress theme?
I expect what is “advertised” but have experienced too much un-customizable themes (my fear being that as well…)
James Carter says
When I look for a WordPress theme, I look for different things depending on what my client wants.
For all sites, I want to make sure of a few things:
– Responsive (All websites need this for 2016!)
– Will integrate my plugins into the design. (Not full integration, just make sure it looks really good!)
– Either a page builder, or the ability to use a page builder I already own. (For clients, barely any of them will know php, html, and CSS. If they want to do something on the page, they need an easy to use page builder!
For churches, I make sure there is a built in feature for sermons, events, and I also want it to be easy to customize and learn for the church.
For charity sites, I make sure that the giving solution will integrate into a counter, or even a goal. If the client doesn’t want it for public view, for volunteers that don’t have access to see how much they have raised. I also want to make sure that the theme can integrate a column system that looks modern and fresh.
For business sites, I want to make sure that the CTA is very very prominent. I believe it’s one of the most important thing. The site has to look semi unique, modern, and fresh. Something like Churchmag! 😉
If you’d like, just let me know and I can elaborate!
