And, when you do, follow the guidelines given by them. We must be responsible citizens and love our neighbors. This post, “A New Normal For The Post-Quarantine Church” is part two of three in the series.
After the excitement wears off, the church must be ready and in place for the new normal. A normal where people are hyperaware of the possibilities of viruses and pandemics. The virus might still return for a second round. There may be future crises. The church needs to become a safe place. A couple of months ago or so, Blessing wrote about how to prepare for an outbreak. At the time, I didn’t know if this post would be necessary, but I thought it was prudent to publish it and help people prepare. I also didn’t think we’d be talking about the long term impact of COVID-19 On Churches.

Only gather (in person) when your state / government / relevant authorities say you can. And, when you do, follow the guidelines given by the relevant authorities, and some. We must be responsible citizens and love our neighbors.
Different countries / state are in different phases of quarantine or shelter-in-place. Some are in the early stages and others are likely to gather in person sooner. We’ve been thinking about that first Sunday / gathering for when we can gather in person.
