Steve Jobs passed away yesterday. As such, the world lost an icon that fits with other iconic figures like Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell and Walt Disney. The products he envisioned and brought to the world were transcended age. People from 8 to 85 use Apple products every day. Jobs was a brilliant businessman. He was a visionary. He was a creative. He will be missed.
Personally, Jobs legacy has affected me, perhaps more recently than many other people. I didn’t own an Apple product until about 2005. It was an iPod Mini. I didn’t own my first Apple computer until 2010, but I haven’t looked back since. I remarked last night I was editing video on my Macbook Pro, watching a movie on my iPad and checking emails/text messages on my iPhone when I heard Jobs died.
One of his greatest legacies will also be Pixar Animated Studios. Since 1995 and the release of Toy Story, no studio in Hollywood has turned out better movies as a whole, than Pixar.
Steve Jobs will be missed.
