The good news is, if it’s an iced coffee, you’ll only actually get about 1/8th of that volume in actual coffee.
It’s still pretty intense though.
Stephen Bateman says
I mean I’m all for paying $6 for ice…

I try not to drink things that are BIGGER THAN MY STOMACH! Wow that’s a lot of stuff…

Is the toilet paper cartel behind this? Wow, that’s way too much for me.
Joanna says
That’s insane. surely it can’t be for real.
wouldn’t the ammount of sugar in that come close to giving you diabeties straight away?
And surely drinking that much fluid at once would be rather uncomfortable

“Venti” means 20 in Italian. The Starbucks Venti holds 20oz.
“Trenta” means 30 in Italian. It will hold 31oz.
Weird.
MoonGlitz says
and what also doesn’t make sense is that trenta is an Italian word that means 30. What does 30 have to do with anything. Oh yeah, I got it, you will have to go to the potty 30 times when you drink a trenta size latte. Latte is also an Italian word. However, Starbucks was started by three Americans in Seattle, WA and did you know that their first location was not on Pikes Place as most of us believe. If you visit this location on the Harbor in Seattle (which I have) you CAN see the original mermaid logo. The one that does not have her hair as strategically placed and is not cut off just below the neck. The original location is not on Pike’s Place (where you would visit today) but rather it was at 2000 Western Ave and then moved to Pike’s Place. Oh, and I don’t like coffee but I will take a trenta size Vanilla Bean frap. if you are buying.

The only positive I see hear is the ability to share it with my wife. Just get another cup and you’ve got 2 grande coffees for less money. Otherwise there isn’t a person on the planet who should drink that much coffee in one sitting.

I always order a short (not advertised on their menu), but available at every Starbucks. The short is 235 ml.
Eric J says
INSANITY! this could be good for sharing a drink with my wife. A venti was alreay bad for your health and now this.
Steve Crenshaw says
This would have been awesome when I was in the Navy. We would fill up 32oz mugs with coffee, milk and sugar to stay awake during our watch. Of course that was free and this is $6.
