If your a programmer, IT administrator, or even a computer power-user, odds are you’re familiar with Stack Overflow (ServerFault or SuperUser) or any of the other Stack Exchange sites.
For sometime now, the team has been providing monthly data dumps of their records, but they’ve recently launched the StackExchange Data Explorer.

The site makes it really easy to query against their data. From the homepage, you can select the site that you wish to query:
View all queries:
And even create your own. For example, say I wanted to find a little bit of information about users that had over 50K of reputation on Stack Overflow:
From there, you can download the CSV of your results.
Pretty cool. Personally, I’d probably use the application for more off-the-cuff queries than for legitimate research, but if I was on a team for a large project in the development space, I think it’d be incredibly interesting to see what the community is asking (and answering!) about my platform.
