Slide Note for jQuery is:
A jQuery Plugin that makes it easy to display sliding notifications on your website or in your web application. It offers flexible positioning options, support for Ajax, CSS hooks, and more.
There are plenty of options with Slide Note, here’s how it looks in the webpage:
Nice!
Features include:
- Flexible Positioning
Display your Slide Note, anywhere! Slide Note fires after the user scrolls to a certain point, and you can control which corner of the window your notification appears. - Limited Notifications
The best part about Slide Note is, you won’t be nagging your users. You can set how many times Slide Note should appear before it no longer displays. - Callback Support
Create events before and after it displays. This is perfect for manipulating data based on the users response. - More!
I love options, and Slide Note has them. Ajax, multiple notification, CSS hooks and more!
Check the options code:
[cc lang=”jquery”]$(‘#container’).click(function() {
$(this).slideNote({
where: 640,
corner: ‘left’,
url: ‘ajax.html’,
container: ‘note‘,
closeImage: ‘/images/close.png’,
displayCount: 3,
onSlideIn: function() {
alert(‘Displayed!’);
},
onSlideOut: function() {
alert(‘Hidden!’);
}
});
});[/cc]
Beautiful, isn’t it?
Slide Note is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and IE9. Although the plugin works in IE8 but is not officially supported.
Fork it, download it, and demo it, on the Slide Note for jQuery page.
Hats-off to Tom McFarlin for another jQuery plugin well done.
