Ah-ha!
It says it’s Saturday Sunday Share, but it doesn’t look like Saturday Sunday Share does it?
When we first started Saturday Sunday Share, the weekly photo was that of a Rubik’s Cube. For that last few months it has been an Etch A Sketch, and now I think it’s time to change it up as we move closer to the one year mark of Saturday Sunday Share.
This week, I would like to add a little extra on the side. First, here’s a quick review of what was shared last week:
- Dave Anthold – launched his new photography gallery (very cool, you have to see it!) as well as installed the magically delicious Standard Theme 3 Preview 3 (also very cool!).
- Raoul Snyman – is rollin’ like a gangsta with his awesome Python tutorial!
- Paul Clifford – is giving his book away — check out the deets!
Alright.
In addition to the usual share’s of what you’ve been doing this week, give me some ideas for what we should theme the next series of Saturday Sunday Share’s! Rubik Cubes, Etch A Sketches, now what?
Let’s see those shares!

I’ve had pretty bad writers block for content on my main site, but got some new content up on http://www.thefreemusicfeature.com/. I’ve been pleasantly surprised about how much good free music I’ve found now that I’m actively looking for it,
I’ve also had a slightly crazy new creative project on the go. A member of the mission team I’m on and I acquired a toy llama to use as team mascot. We called him Carlito and made him a Peruvian style outfit. To make the safety and procedures training team members have to go through less boring and more memorable, we’ve thinking of putting together a captioned photo story of Carlito doing the important things that need to be done to prepare for mission. We’re yet to do more than a few introductory pictures but we have made him a pinterest ( http://pinterest.com/carlitodellama/ ) to show other teams/interested people what we’re doing.

That’s awesome. 😀

I finally was able to get my missionary website up and running: http://jeremysmith.yfc.net/
Check it out for photos of the ministry, monthly blog articles, and a place to donate if you wish to help support me in spreading the Gospel to teens!

Well, this week has been quite hectic with some stuff I don’t want to disclose just yet (I’m waiting for the outcome of a review first), but I did manage to do a few other things…
Last Sunday I finally got my drumkit set up again, after we moved at the end of last year, and my son lost no time in getting himself well aquainted with them[0].
After my first screen cast[1], I had a couple of ideas, and tried to implement them in my second screencast (which is still in the editing stage), and then decided to blog about these tips and tricks I’ve learned[2].
Yesterday (Saturday) I built a new track layout for my son[3], who was so excited about it he started playing on it before it was finished[4].

Last week, I spent a couple of days editing some video. I spent a couple tearing down tech stuff at a race track, too. Our church is about to conclude a 4-year capital campaign, so right now I’m sunburned from the yard sale I held to help finish out my commitment. It scratched the surface, but only Jesus can do this miracle and I’m praying for something Biblical. I’ll take prayers in that direction because it’s multiple thousands of dollars and I don’t have that on the horizon that I know of.
I have an idea for a big promotion, but I can’t do it alone. Let me know if you want exposure for something you do that’s church tech related because I’m going to try and do something fun, a little grouponish.

Wow! Sounds awesome!

This week I did mostly nothing as I was on holiday 🙂
The biggest tech thing I did was to hook my new electric ukulele up to my big ole carlsboro viper bass amp – sounds pretty incredible!
I also think ukes would be a great new theme for sat/sun/shares 😉
Eric Dye says
Hmmm … ukes, eh?

We installed a new digital sound board and speaker system in our auditorium this week.
I don’t really have an good theme ideas, at the moment.
Eric Dye says
Awesome! What board?
Stephen Peterson says
Allen and Heath iLive-T112
Eric Dye says
Pretty. Reminds me of the Yamaha LS9 I setup. Love these digital boards.
