It’s Saturday Sunday Share already?
Where did the week go, anyway? Sheesh!
Last week’s Saturday Sunday Share was a little sparse, but they were awesome all the same:
- Paul Clifford – did some cool stuff for Third Day!
- Frank Gantz – keeps bloggin’ strong!
- Raoul Snyman – did some bug fixing on OpenLP!
So what did you do this past week?
- What did you build?
- What did you create?
- What did you begin?
- What did you finish?
Let us critique your work in progress or give you a high-five, this is Saturday Sunday Share.
Let’s see what you’ve got!

This week I started working on my first iOS app! Very exciting and it’s also Bible related. Bit of a learning curve but very fun.
And one of my clients (http://bully-banks.co.uk) was also mentioned in one of the UKs most read newspapers (The Daily Telegraph)!

Can’t wait to see the finished iOS app, James!!!

I finished and changed to a new theme on my website (http://trinitydigitalmedia.com if you want to see). I tracked down a problem with the church I put cameras into (wrong input on the projector). I played around with the Turn.js script that Eric talked about (I think I could make a fun ebook with it). I went to the church with the cameras to get the pesky second camera to work and got my 232-422 adapters to work on the camera that worked already, giving me hope that it could work. When I tried it on the second camera, it didn’t work. I came back on Friday and changed where I put the null modem adapter and viola, it worked. I was starting to doubt myself, so I’m glad it worked.
I nearly forgot that I wrote two posts for churchm.ag (a new record); I hope I don’t do too many ;).
Next week, I hope to get pretty far on formatting for “Tweeting Church,” my second book. If I can get that done, maybe I’ll order a proof. I’m planning on having the paper and kindle version ready for my church’s leadership conference http://theuprising.org in the middle of next month.
Oh, I started reading “Get Slightly Famous.” I really just want to help the Church (and not starve in the process).
Paul

This weekend specifically, we released the last beta version of OpenLP[0]! W00t! The next release will be our first release candidate. Release candidate phase means we won’t be adding any new features, we’ll only be fixing bugs.

This past week I released CheckAFilm.com – it’s a website where you can search for movies by title and it will give you a page with some info from IMDb, Plugged In, and Kids in Mind.
Basically whenever my family is making a decision about a particular movie, I check those three websites, which is especially difficult on a mobile device. Check a Film is mobile device friendly.
Let me know if you find it useful or have any suggestions for improvements.
