The last two weeks, Saturday Sunday Share #1 and Saturday Sunday Share #2, have been incredibly inspiring for me.
It’s been a great opportunity to see what other people are doing, as well as a great way for some of you to get feedback.
I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am!
Just to re-cap:
The Saturday-Sunday Share is a place for you to share your work, and it can include anything from code to creative.
- Code
- Plugins
- Websites
- Graphic art
- Paintings
- Posts
- IT Network installs
- Etc …
If it’s a category on ChurchMag, and it’s your work, this is the place to share it!
You can encourage, inspire, and if you want, ask for some critiques.
Simply drop-off your URL, and description as necessary, and we will all come take a look.
If you visit someone’s piece of work, be sure to leave a comment.
Now, let it begin!

I have a mobile blog for blog posts that come from my iphone on Posterous.com. I’d always wanted a “logo” on that page, but never really took time to make one. After getting tired of staring at the lame default logo, I jumped into photoshop with one idea. I wanted a simple logo.
Here’s what I came up with. http://cl.ly/0V0L3X3B0c0E0q332i0O Thoughts?

Simple but effective! Nice work.

Just what I was going for. Thanks James! Check out the full site http://ledmobile.posterous.com

I already said, “nice,” but it’s really crisp, too! I like it.
Dustin W. Stout says
It’s a great start! How do we find the website?
Brian Alexander says
Sorry Dustin. It is http://ledmobile.posterous.com

I’ve been working on a WP theme for a Church this week (not up yet but coming along nicely). The Pastor is a big apple fan, so it’s kind of shiny 😉
I’ve also been doing some layouts for a series of wp sites for a big Christian podcaster – to bring a corporate theme across the sites.
All wp – all the time!
Eric Dye says
Be sure to show us the shiny Church site when you’re done! Would love to see it, eh!
Dustin W. Stout says
YES! You should give us a screenshot!

OK! Here’s a (cropped) screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1350193/Screenshots/shinychurchsite.png

NICE!
Stacey L Barr says
Beautiful! That’s a perfect layout, very open and devoid of the mess of links most church sites have. I want to see the final outcome too.
Eric Dye says
I agree, Stacey, many Church sites over-cram.

Myself and James Brooks launched our GooglePlusTutorials.com this past week! We’d love the community’s feedback! http://googleplustutorials.com
James Cooper says
Cool! I’d been to the short url post on there but didn’t make the connection with you and James…
Dustin W. Stout says
Cool! Hope you find more useful posts this coming week!

A couple friends and I from my church have been working on http://www.forafriend.com for a little over a year now. I’m the main developer on it. Would love to get some feedback on design/usability/idea as well as get the word out to Jesus followers everywhere. In case you don’t wanna check it out until you know what it’s about, it’s a social-networkish platform to connect missionaries with other believers and allow both sides to be mutually encouraged, and the missionaries to be supported in small practical ways. If you’ve got ideas of where we could get the word out, I’d love to hear about it too! Blessings.
Eric Dye says
Sweet!
(No missionaries in Italy? I might need to get a profile!)

do it! btw, forgot for a moment this is a geeky blog… Developed this on Ruby on Rails 3. My first real Rails project so it’s been a really fun learning experience. I think I’m a permanent fan of ruby & rails now. Hosted on Heroku which has been awesomely easy for the most part and cheap – for now our shared db is till within their free range!
Eric Dye says
Even better!!! Ruby on Rails 3 FTW!!!
