Last week’s Saturday Sunday Share was a little on the weak side, since we had rolling DNS blackouts. Not only was it posted late, but many of you were unable to participate.
This week, there’s a mix of good news and bad news. The good news is that we migrated to a different server, as our current provider failed us too many times and for far too long.
99.9% uptime? I don’t think so!
A few of you did get to participate in last week’s Saturday Sunday Share:
- Matt Phelps – launched a blog and a website. Matt’s website is sporting the very awesome Standard Theme.
- Joanna – posted some great stuff on encouragement.
- Raoul Snyman – is all about open source!
I know normally Saturday Sunday Share is posted first thing Saturday morning, so I’m hoping you guys still get a chance to jump-in this weekend!
Let’s see what you’ve got!
You will, after all, be the first to share what you’ve been doing this week on the new server!

This week I finished work on making a clients site all nice and html5-y and gave it a bit of a facelift as well (complete with a js image rotator which the client calls ‘the merry-go-round’ I LOVE THAT!). It’s for a classical music agent: http://www.patrickgarvey.com/
I also made my first FB ‘fan gate’ (where the custom page changes whether the viewer has ‘liked’ the page or not). The full fan page should go live this week ready for sharing next week!

Every year our church has a weekend called Serve Now weekend when we cancel our regular services and spread out in the community and serve all weekend long. This year we are partnering with another church in the community and are calling it Serve Now Serve Together weekend. I just finished up the work on the website for the weekend at http://www.servenowservetogether.com using the awesome Live Theme.

Love it! (Live Theme lookin’ sharp.)

A few short texts/emails of encouragement to a couple of co-workers is now a Tumblr project of mine. Each work day, I’m posting something that I wrote that’s hopefully encouraging, motivating, or inspiring. I’m starting week 7 this week.
James Cooper says
Cool, can you share a link?
TJ says
Sure! It’s http://peanutbuttercupmoment.tumblr.com/. Thanks!

This week I’ve been writing about something interesting I found in Jonah http://www.joannamuses.com/2011/09/loving-truth-about-god.html
I mentioned here a couple of weeks ago that I was writing a proposal to present the research I’m doing at a major conference. Found out that I’ve been accepted as a presenter and am getting a significant grant to cover my travel costs to go present. Very excited!

That’s great news Joanna!
