It’s true.
Collide Magazine is headed out as they’ve been unable to meet the growing needs of ECHO and their related businesses:
My friends, the time has come to put an end to COLLIDE Magazine. Believe me, it’s difficult to say that after more than three years of pouring ourselves into the magazine, but we feel like it’s for the best.
Scott goes on to say that the November/December issue will be the last.
So, what will rise in the ashes of Collide? A new site: The Echo Hub. I’m sure it’ll be awesome.
Jordan Wiseman says
Aw, snap. This ruined my day. 🙁
I do wonder what “The Echo Hub” is though…!

I was bummed by the e-mail that just hit my inbox and figured others here might have something to say about it. It was a good magazine while it lasted. I find the announcement particularly interesting and timely given the recent discussion here about the very subject of print magazines. For what it’s worth I now have a magazine subscription I wouldn’t mind continuing with a different publication.

Ironically I had literally just finished reading the most recent issue when I opened my email to find the announcement.
Ah well. It was a wonderful magazine while it lasted!
Phill Tran says
It was a great magazine. I was hoping it would stay alive as an online mag like Smashing Magazine.
Maybe that’s what the ECHO hub will be, just with unified branding.

i got the e-mail today…bummer but good luck with the future of echo!
