Ever wanted to create a simple, yet stunningly beautiful, presentation on the web only using HTML/CSS & JS?
Well now you can with the amazing reveal.js!
reveal.js is a tool (set of files) created by Hakim El Hattab, a web dev and programmer from Sweden, which allows you to quickly create good looking HTML presentations.
It uses HTML5 <section>s for the different slides, which can be scrolled through horizontally using controls on the bottom right of the presentation – or the arrow keys on the keyboard; nested <section>s add a vertical dimension for sub slides!
Hitting ‘Escape’ shows a presentation overview/map which can also be navigated (by mouse or keyboard) with a desired slide being able to be chosen by hitting ‘enter’.
reveal.js comes with a selection of transitions (using the wonderment of CSS3) and color schemes (which can change through the presentation).
You can also link to specific slides using simple # links.
My initial reaction when seeing it was “er, wow!”
I think this could be a great way of showing ideas to a client – or how about for simple Church presentations – no ugly PowerPoint! With internal slide linking – a simple ‘one page, but not one page’ site could be made using it… it really does get the idea juices flowing!
You can find out more about reveal.js on Hakim’s blog and download it from Github.

Love it. Anyone know how to incorporate audio and video (external and internal)?
Thanks
