The awaited “$25 computer” Raspberry Pi launched, yesterday, and sold out.
For only $25, it certainly gives the FXI Cotton Candy a run for it’s money … literally!
Here’s Raspberry Pi’s specs:

Impressive?
Honestly, this is a geek toy.
By the time you factor in the cost of peripherals, you could easily score a netbook or cheap laptop that would have more power. However, if you’re geeky enough to have peripherals lying around — ahem — $25 is a no-brainer.
Yes, please!

What amazes me is that it’s cheaper than an arduino and although it doesn’t have the same i/o, it’s more powerful. It wouldn’t take a lot to put one in your car and have it do fun stuff (like turn the car on at 5:00 so it would be cool (or hot) when you left work.

That would be awesome. You can then ebay them — LOL!

Fun! I was looking into the arduino a few weeks ago and going through a few different books on the subject (and looking at other microcontrollers). I wonder what kind of documentation comes with this.
