Some people have their browser remember all of their passwords and autofill forms. Those of us that wear tinfoil hats, don’t :).
As such, we’re left navigating to a variety of URLs that’s aren’t particular easy to remember to fill out the login form. WordPress is no exception with it’s somewhat-inconveient /wp-login.php page.
Here’s an easy to way to improve that path usting .htaccess:
Open up .htaccess and add the following line (remember to change YourDomain.com to your actual domain):
[cc lang=”text”]
RewriteRule ^login$ http://YourDomain.com/wp-login.php [NC,L]
[/cc]
Now you can simply navigate to YourDomain.com/login
It’s the little things.

Thank you so much. I always wondered if there was a way to do this.

Sure thing, Andrew!

Does this work with subdomains as well? Getting a ‘404’ after setting. Thoughts?
Tom McFarlin says
Depends on how the subdomain is setup. If it’s in a subdirectory, you may have to do something like this:
RewriteRule ^login$ http://YourDomain.com/subdomain/wp-login.php [NC,L]
Or you may have to try this:
RewriteRule ^login$ http://subdomain.YourDomain.com/wp-login.php [NC,L]
Try those!
