Whenever my wife and I see a rapid success of tweets by one user, we refer to it as, “Throwing-up.”
Hey, did you see @SoAndSo threw-up on Twitter?
Have I done it? Yes. Guilty as charged.
Everyone has done it, but it can be avoided.
I’ve tried using HootSuite, but that was kind of a hassle. So, I installed the HootSuite Hootlet for my browser. It’s a nice tool! But, what if I wanted to make a number of personal comments, too? I have a few things on my mind?
I’ve also had instances when I’ve scheduled a tweet for say, 3pm. I scheduled it in the morning, so buy the time the afternoon rolls around, I don’t think about the fact I’m tweeting about needing a cup of coffee at 2:55p. What happens? I puke on Twitter.
So, when I saw this great tool called, Buffer, I was one happy bird!
The design and purpose behind Buffer is to never flood your followers, aka: Never puke on Twitter again.
You add your tweets to Buffer, and Buffer spreads them out for you during the day – automatically!
It isn’t random, either; you define the time ranges you want those tweets to go out.
Are you managing more than one Twitter account? Buffer can handle that, too.
Buffer has a lot of ways to integrate itself into your Twitter life. Tweet and share pages straight from your browser:
From your smartphone:
And within Twitter itself:
Here are a few other ways to use Buffer:
- Chrome app
- Firefox plug-in
- Safari add-on
- Bookmarklet
- Google Reader
- Integrate it into your website or blog
- Add to Refynr
You can setup Buffer into a number of systems that you are probably already use; however, a TweetDeck add-on would be nice.
Buffer even gives you analytics for every Tweet you make using Buffer:
It’s free to sign-up, but there’s some limitation with their free service. Here’s the price breakdown:

I like this, it is something I can use. Yes I throw up a bunch of tweets sometimes because I see a bunch of interesting things in a small time frame. And I like the $5 option – that is affordable and should get a lot of attention.
