This is the second article in the series Publishing Your Own eBook series.
We are all passionate about something in our lives and that passion is probably what drove you to want to write this eBook. Yesterday, we already decided that it was worth writing something and today we are going to decide what that something is going to be. Instead of going into this blindly, we need to press forward with purpose and a strategy so that we make the most of our time when putting together this eBook.
Here are three things that you must keep in mind when writing your eBook for it to be a success.
- Getting A Clear Topic
This subject is not something brand new to us at seventy8 Productions. In our blogging series, we asked the question, “What Will You Write About?” While some of that is applicable here, an eBook is a whole new animal. When blogging, you can discuss the latest hot topics and if one of them gets a good enough response, you may continue to post similar content. With your eBook, have to know exactly what you want to write about because you will be doing a lot of writing up front and will not know of the reaction til later. Make sure that there is a clear goal to write towards. Our eBook‘s main focus is to help people become effective bloggers. Anything outside of that, discussing how to use social media or what kind of code to write for your WordPress theme was outside the bounds. - Determine Determine That It Is Worth Writing

Writing on youth ministry is not enough, but putting together a youth ministry book about running small groups could be a big hit. Differentiate yourself from the pack to stand out. - Ensure That You Have Something To Write
Now that you have a topic and know that it is unique enough from everything else out there, the final question that remains is, “Can you write this eBook?” Bloggers constantly come up with the idea of wanting to write an eBook only to find a couple of pages in that they do not have the wealth of knowledge or experience to actually do it in a timely manner. Four or five months later, they get so frustrated with themselves that they admit defeat. These are not quick 300 word articles, you need to have an abundant amount of material to use.
