This week on the podcast we talk about, we touch on a subject we’ve talked about before — discussing church tech.
We talk about a specific example — a case example if you will — and whether any church staff member should use an application like Microsoft Publisher or Pages, or if they should use a more professional application like Adobe InDesign.
While we pitched this idea around a few times and explored some of the nuances, we are curious to know what you think. Not which is “better” per se, I think we can all agree it’s InDesign, but which is better depending on the situation.

I am thinking the best would be the one you know how to use. I have been using Publisher since 1996, so I can make it do some great things. That is not to argue which is better, as you said, but which is best to use. For me, who has never used InDesign, Publisher (with help from Canva) is the best.

I used Publisher a lot when I was on PC. It does adequate work, but I never felt like it was all that aesthetically pleasing. How do you feel about it?

I love Affinity Designer. You get the power of Adobe products with the price tag that any church can handle ($50 one-time purchase). Hopefully, their layout program will be coming soon.
