At 8BIT, one of the things that we strive to do is craft exceptional products for others. As of today, we believe that we’ve done just that through Church Analytics, Live Theme, Standard Theme, and BeaconAds.
But we have no plans to stop there. Today, we’re proud to announce the release of Pro Photo Theme – a premium WordPress Theme specifically for photographers, photo bloggers, and image enthusiasts.
The theme ships with a variety of color schemes, four different ways to showcase your images, and a number of other features to make it as easy as possible to show off your work as elegantly as possible:
- Gallery Embed Codes. Videographers have the luxury of having their work easily embedded in other sites. Now photographers do, too.
- Image Vault. When others attempt to hot link photos, they will be presented with a page informing them that they are unable to do so.
- Disabled Right-Click. It’s impossible to completely prevent visitors from scraping photographs from a site, but we’ve done what we can to make it a bit more difficult.
- Point-and-click Shortcodes. Shortcodes are convenient but cumbersome. Not anymore – we’ve developed an easy way to embed shortcodes in your post through a point-and-click interface.
As with all other 8BIT products, the theme is fully localized, supports a number of advertising spots, and comes with world-class support. We’ve also got thorough documentation for those that need it!

Haha! I should have been more specific… I can’t wait to see it in a real browser and explore it. I’m on my iPhone bc I’m at work now, and I’m waiting until I go home to demo it. Thanks though guys!

Can you create a password protected gallery of an album for clients viewing?
Tom says
Yep – when creating a gallery, just click “password protected” under the visibility heading of the publish options.

Sweet! Thanks

OK, my bad. I am naive to this. I looked at the demo and it looks cool. I am an amateur photographer…it is a hobbye. I have been wanting my own site – mostly for myself, family and friends. I might submit a few of my shots to some stock shops but I can do that without a site. Can I set this up without knowing any code? Is it dumbed down to that level? Is the cost for a period of time?
Jared Erickson says
It’s a theme that works with a self hosted WordPress (http://http://wordpress.org/) site. So you would need to have hosting (most host’s have a 1 click wordpress install ) after that you would upload the theme package in WordPress, configure a few options and be live! the Theme is well documented and we have some step by step video’s coming soon showing you how to setup your new site.
there is no code needed to get rolling, it is helpful if you understand WordPress 🙂
