Have you ever read the app permissions when installing an app on your smartphone?
The #PrivacyProject asks random people on the street to read these permissions, making for an interesting video.
Perhaps we should all start paying more attention…

It’s either stop using smartphones and tablets, or agree to these terms, correct? If you don’t “accept” you don’t get use of the device.
What steps can be taken other than going back to flip phones or landlines?

I guess on further reflection on the article the issue is using apps, and not necessarily the device itself. But what’s the device without the apps?
I wish there were a quick way to get the gist of the user agreement. I suppose there’s a reason they go pages and pages. It covers every base, but it also makes understanding more difficult and easier to miss.
