For my fellow thirty-somethings, let me present you this video game flowchart.
A resource, if you will.
Chances are, you’re married, with kids, and keep yourself busy with your daytime job and volunteering at church. So when you do have a moment to play some video games, deciding what to play is vitally important. There’s no time to waste! High scores, epic quests and level ups await!
Here’s a fun flowchart to help you pick the perfect video game to play:

I found myself backtracking on a few of these, just to see what questions led to them. Currently—which means since last December—I’ve been trying, and sometimes succeeding, to enjoy these titles:
I’ve got only an hour on Bastion and have loved every moment. Civilization V just hasn’t happened for me. It requires too much time. Minecraft, on the other hand, has been a huge win. It’s been a great game to enjoy with my six year old son. Multiplayer, creative mode, survival mode, downloadable texture packs, maps, skins and more! It has become a family favorite. Gaming + Family = #EPIC.
In other news, I am still waiting for Half Life 3…
How about you?
What games have you been digging lately?

So I went through the maze and found my favorite go to games, and also my wife’s gaming habits and I guess we go against the mold, well she does. She is all about Zelda right now and according to your chart wouldn’t chose it. Also my six and 3 1/2 year old daughters know more about Zelda than most boys do 🙂 Unfortunately the teenage populous I deal with at church just wants to play Call of Duty all the time instead of Smash Bros. or Mario Kart 🙁

Zelda is always a winner as far as I am concerned. 😀
