No matter how many times I see photos of a shuttle launch, it never gets old.
They are similar, but never the same.
Dan Winters, who is in my view, one of the best photographers of our generation, can move between amazing portrait photography and science based photography with ease.
Winters was hired by Time magazine to capture images of Atlantis in June 2011, the last shuttle flight in the program. Those images, along with others, are being used for a new book by Winters, ‘Last Launch.’
