There are a number of things that make a blog world-class. You can probably think of 2 or 3 off the top of your head right now without me even prompting you… which leads me to the inevitable question of whether or not you’re actually doing them…
But, that “encouragement” is for a later time.
Many of you may not be aware that I’m actually spending this week in Korea. In fact, I left early Friday in the AM and took a 16 hour direct flight over. And no, they did NOT have internet on the flight.
But I was able to post a new entry anyways about 40,000 miles above sea level.
Whoa, wait a sec…! Yeah. Cool.
Content is KING.
I’ll say that again because it’s worth repeating: Content is KING in making a blog successful. Actually, unless you’re a “slow blogger” and fit into that paradigm, content is what keeps any blog alive. It’s the lifeblood. Period.
Consistent content is the only choice. And time, distance, or being 40k miles in the sky in a plane without internet shouldn’t (and can’t) stop you.
And this is one of the biggest strategies that I’ve got to share: Scheduled Posts.
It’s a feature that’s built right into WP… and it’ll keep your blog alive even when you’re not (or hopefully you’re not dead but just “out of commission” for a while…).
So, check my schedule of what I had begun to plan when I left… I’ve obviously have gotten even more posts in the hopper now. All of these listed in the screeny were posted without me ever having to login in.
Goodness, I love me some WP. Can your blogging platform do that?
