If I am being honest with you guys right now, blogging is not all unicorns and rainbows. It’s amazing when you can write an article that goes viral, put something out there that is very personal which connects personally with your audience, and you get ahead of the ballgame with lots of extra articles.
I’m not speaking from a philosophical understanding, but someone that is in the midst of life happening, priorities shifting, and frustration with creativity and productivity on this blog. So this is me in the funk looking at how to get out of it and to a better blogging mindset.
These are my ideas spitballing that I will be doing over the next week, I guarantee nothing from them except the knowledge that these have worked for me in the past.
- Set A Schedule for When To Blog
Right now life is happening at breakneck speed and with career and family as a higher priority, my own personal blogging has been put on the backburner. But if I’m honest with myself, my previous routine was broken and now I need to come up with a new one. Maybe I need to just shoot for the moon for 4 hours on a Saturday and go for a whole week’s worth at one time. - Break Out Of My Environment
I full heartedly agree that a new place to write can give you a new outlook on blogging for a short term approach. My wife is finished teaching soon and so this will give me the ability to get out of the house and write at Starbucks or the library. I’m very excited for this! - Stop Writing eBooks
I have been putting a lot of creative input into two different ebooks and an academic paper on social media so this has zapped my effort, thoughts, and creative juices. I need to reboot. - Have Conversations With People
This is the best way for me to come out with new ideas every time. I could write two articles for every 20 minute conversation I have with people.
What do you do to overcome the blogging woahs?
