OneApp was apparently launched today and was available for preview @ Catalyst 2008. I first got wind of this when I was participating in LifeShare with LifeChurch.tv and Ragamuffinsoul, and the again at the Church Tech Camp with Tony Steward.
Unfortunately, no one grabbed any actual live shots (that I’ve seen) or any video clips (where are the video bloggers @ Catalyst…?!?).
Touting itself as pretty much a killer app, it’s a comprehensive online resource for local and globaly ministry. Here are some other rather juicy tidbits from Mark Morris:
OneApp is much more than a single web site or one digital solution. OneApp includes the development of tools which benefit first time, mission volunteers and church leaders from independent and aligned agencies and denominations.
OneApp facilitates an environment that enables networking: church to church, church to field, individual to individual, and agency to church and field.
OneApp facilitates the definition, organization, coordination, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of field projects and partnerships in every village, city, and region of the world. The tools are also developed in a multilingual framework, which allows for their utilization in multiple languages – thus OneApp is not just for English speakers.
First thing that comes to mind is Roov.com (which is apparently down…?) but for on a much more global scale.
It’ll be interesting to see how this app pans out, who jumps on board, and what the effectual bottom-line is in regards to Kingdom building. I’m all for it… go team internet.
Wow. Powerful. I understand what they are trying to do which is a good thing. People everywhere need to be connected within ministries.
Connection is good. 🙂
