There are several different technologies and avenues church’s can explore in distributing their live streaming. You can use an easy to use tool like Media Fusion that embeds into your church website, setup a Roku channel and even publish a mobile app on iTunes and Google Play for users to attend online services on mobile devices.
Now there’s a new frontier to explore in church live streaming:
Amazon Fire TV
Community Bible Church in San Antonio is a church technology leader and is leading the way with Amazon Fire TV. You can log onto their 24 hours a day, seven days a week channel in English or Spanish and join Bible studies, watch sermon archives and learn more about the church.
CBC Innovation Pastor Nils Smith explains the motivation and rationale behind the launch of their new Amazon Fire TV channel:
“In March, we announced the debut of the CBC Roku channel and an app for iTunes and Google Play, which have been enormously popular ways to bring the Lord into His followers’ lives. Each new platform is a golden opportunity to spread the word of God, and that’s why we are particularly thrilled to blaze a trail in His name via Amazon Fire TV.”
It’s exciting to see churches like Community Bible Church embracing these new technologies and reaching an audience in new spaces that would otherwise be vacant.

Did you seriously write about Internet TV the same day we did? That’s hilarious. And awesome. Guess churches better check it out. 😉
