Sometimes celebrities seem detached with “the normal people’s” world with the tabloids, arrests, and drama that they have. Yet, the world seems like a small place and the Internet helps make amazing things happening. One beautiful “little thing” happened to Zach Sobiech from a long list of celebrities and friends. Here is the description from the YouTube video.
Zach Sobiech is 17 years old and diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that takes the lives of a large percent of its childhood victims. Given only months to live, Zach turned to music to say goodbye. His song “Clouds” spread, and soon, Zach’s message was heard across the country. We wanted to help Zach spread his message, and bring awareness to increase support for finding a cure. So, we asked our friends to help out…they did.
My mind instantly goes to, “Why is the church not doing this too?” Yes, we may not be celebrities, but we are role models and I would love to see the Church get highlighted for doing amazing and inspirational videos of hope, too. Small scale, I have no doubt that this is happening, but maybe as the Church as a whole, we can come behind some amazing stories and lift them high.
You will cry during this video, so get a tissue ready.

Zach’s story lives on…
Jonathan Ober says
I saw this video the other day posted on a friends wall on Facebook. I had it playing in the ipad next to my computer while I was working. I barely made it three minutes before I was tearing up and focused on the story of Zach and not the work in front of me. This is a great story of faith in God that despite the circumstances, he had a plan and purpose for the final months and moments of Zach’s life. Just like he has a plan and purpose for all of us. I myself am not dealing with cancer, but my step dad is and before the cancer he had no trust in God for his life, now he is going to Bible Studies and church as he feels up to it and able. God can do amazing things despite the complications in our life. Keep the message of hope and love moving.

I don’t know how you do watch this and not get teary eyed. The guy is a standup person and something that makes me want to do more with my life. God is an amazing Father and knows what He is doing.
