Phil says
Knights of the Old Republic is such a classic.
Eric Dye says
Seriously. Such a great RPG. Wouldn’t a Mass Effect styled Star Wars game by Bioware be #EPIC?
Chris Coppenbarger says
It would have to be either Star Wars Lego, or the Star Wars that was patterned after the Age of Empires series.
Eric Dye says
Oh, yeah. My kids have been playing the LEGO versions every day since I snagged them this past Friday during the Steam sale. That Age of Empires style Star Wars game really is the best. I prefer it over the original Age of Empires—LOL
Chuck Tipton says
I have great memories of spending hours playing TIE Fighter, but I also love the Battlefront game because you can shoot ewoks.
Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) says
Battlefront was ENDLESS fun. We played that over and over in the dorms.
Eric Dye says
Oh, yeah. So much fun. 😀
Greg says
Old guy alert…I remember watching the first trilogy when they originally came out in theaters! Ahhh…memories.
Eric Dye says
Dude. When it comes to Star Wars, there is no “old guy.” You’re just a guy. Who loves Star Wars. The end. 😉
Sarah says
Republic Commando was definitely my favorite Star Wars game.
Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) says
SWRC was super good! I definitely wanted them to expand on it more.
Eric Dye says
You’ve peaked my curiosity with this glowing review. 😀
Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) says
Play it. I worked at Gamestop when it was released and got an early preview (As well as a free copy of the first book). Played that game straight through in the back office. Such a great game.
Eric Dye says
Never tried! (Shame on me. 😛 )
Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) says
KOTOR. Hands Down. My first real taste of an Action RPG where your decisions directly effected the outcome of the game.
Eric Dye says
More insight into the gaming mind of @GeekAthair… 😛
Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) says
It’s a scary place to be some times but I like to think I’ve had some pretty extensive exposure to the gaming world 🙂
Sean O'Driscoll says
KOTOR! Still a classic!
Eric Dye says
#FACT
Seth says
KotOR is definitely my favorite hands down
Eric Dye says
Dang. KOTOR is overwhelming the fav! (Good thing it’s in my Steam library 😛 )
Carl says
I am a fan of the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit (which does have video clips).
Eric Dye says
😀
Matt Rittgers says
KOTOR was epic, though I also really enjoyed Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Also have played: Rebel Assault, Rebel Assault II, X-Wing, Shadows of the Empire, Podracer, Lego Star Wars, KOTOR 2, Dark Forces 1, Jedi Knight 1, Force Unleashed, Battlefront,
Eric Dye says
Well…uh…played. 😉
Dawn Monroe says
My family are big Star Wars fans we spent hours together playing Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Lego.
Eric Dye says
Oh yeah. My kids are loving the LEGO Star Wars, today! 😀
Chris Chapmond says
Right now it is Star Wars: The Old Republic. None mmo though is Knights of the Old Republic. You know anything old republic-y
Eric Dye says
Can you do much staying in the ‘free zone?’
Chris Chapmond says
If you just want to play for single player story sake, yes you can do the whole game (minus paid expansion) for free. That is up to level 50, current cap is 60.
If you are wanting to actually play the game for all its worth, you will find it limiting. It has some dumb caps that they ask you to pay to unlock. If you pay anything at all though it moves your account up to preferred and a lot of the restrictions are removed. Also if you subscribe even for just one month you will get the first paid expansion for free forever and I think 500 cartel coins which is for the paid marketplace.
If anyone wants to try it here is my personal referral link, http://www.swtor.com/r/wLnn3t. As a free player you get some free items, if you are an ex subscriber you get free game time, items and a free character transfer.
Eric Dye says
Cool, thanks man! 😀
Austin Baroudi says
I’d have to go with KOTOR 2!
Eric Dye says
How does that differ from KOTOR? Or is it pretty much the same, just continuing the story?
Stella K. says
Lego Star Wars! It’s the first video game me and my boyfriend played together. 😀
Eric Dye says
Awwww, that’s cute. 🙂
