For all my childhood geeks out there, remember those hours, weekends, and summers spent building the greatest LEGO city or future battlefield that would take up your basement floor? Many of you have probably grown up, but still have those LEGOs somewhere (your own children playing with them now?) You probably have built the greatest baseball field stadium, scene from Star Wars, or architectural wonder that everyone in the world should learn how to build, right?
Now you can with LEGO CUUSOO.
Here’s how:
- Create a Project, share your product concept, and see what other people think.
- Projects with 10,000 supporters are reviewed quarterly by LEGO for a chance to become an official LEGO product.
- If your project passes review and is chosen for production, you will receive 1% of the total net sales of the product.

1% that is all the royalties they pay for people to create and market ideas for them? Seems like a rip off at least it is 1% of sales instead of profits.
Agreed, but they are only the innovators, not the producers of the brand or the bricks themselves. I see it more as a victory to get your creation out there than to make money.
