The landing page for something you do is important. It is where your viewers go to get more information on a specific part of your blog or ministry. Many people I know have a dedicated social media landing page for when someone clicks through from Twitter to hear more about them. Churches understand this well with specific landing pages for the youth group or service times.
If you’d like to give your landing page a critique, I have some flaws that show up regularly in the infographic below.
Here are my 3 favorite fixes from the infographic:
- Fix: You are asking for way too much information. Unless you plan to call them, don’t ask for the phone number. You lose WAY too many signups because of it.
- 48% of landing pages have too many calls-to-action. Sign up! Buy! Download this freebie first! Which do you really want them to do?
- You need to test the words you use. Be a wordsmith with it and try out what best works with A/B testing.
Do you have any great landing pages you’d like to share?
