I think I just found the perfect kid camera app.
As it says on their website, “KidCam is designed for kids, built for parents.”
No kidding!
KidCam is built for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. I use it for my iPod. 🙂
The biggest problem I have with letting my kids use my iPod, is when they get a little video and photo ‘happy.’ Don’t get me wrong, I love it when they do that, but I’ve got limited space PEOPLE!
But that isn’t all KidCam boasts…

While setting a storage limit is cool enough, KidCam goes further. A lot further. You can keep a separate camera roll/library for KidCam — no need to worry about your kids deleting your own photos this way, too. Not to mention it’s way easier to organize. You can import anything from the KidCam library into your own, share it, or use the handy bulk delete feature.
KidCam is cool for parents, true, but I think it’s even cooler for the kids:
- Tap anywhere to take a photo or record a video.
- Monster overlays for photo fun!
- Use the 1-5 second shutter delay to slow those little aspiring photographers down a little.
Created by two dads from California, this awesome little app is totally worth the $2.99 from the App Store.
