When it comes to to-do apps, I am EXTREMELY picky. I have to be, since my mind is a bit, well, flighty.
My preferred configuration has evolved over the years. My litmus test used to be the famed Datebk5 from Palm: desktop and handheld intertwining at its finest. Since then, I have gravitated to cloud functionality. I learned that it was best to get software that I have a reasonable chance of finding on other platforms, and also had a web component that allows me to access data from anywhere that has an internet connection.

I don’t know if that makes economic sense, but it seems to describe the plight of Church techies: always feeling short on equipment and long on projects.
Church techs are part of a proud fraternity, which boasts MacGyver as our hero. Can you blame us? We, too, must complete daunting tasks with only duct tape and a pocket knife.

I haven’t yet heard anyone say this, thank God. I’m not a big fan of people expressing amazement over the most obvious things, and yet I do admit that time does fly, especially the midst of ministry.
My church is one of the fastest moving churches you’ll ever see. We will never be accused of laziness or failure to act. In fact, we might actually act too fast. We start projects, get them to a point of basic usability, and then move on.

In the process of nailing down a decent backup solution for multiple WordPress sites, I came across a new system that will be launching next month.
There are plenty of solid solutions in the marketplace, VaultPress being one; however, dropping $15 per site, per client, is not an option for me.
ManageWP is a very curious product, since backuping up your WordPress site is the least of what it does.
This thing is packed full of awesomeness.
