I love 11:11.
Any time someone in our family sees the clock read, “11:11,” it’s declared:
It’s 11:11!
There’s something very EPIC about seeing the full digital display in all 1’s.
Today, it’s the eleventh day of the eleventh month, so yeah, at 11:11 this morning, it’s going to be EPIC. Not as epic as the year 1111, but this will do.
I wanted to drop this post at 11:11, but I need “do the right thing” and give you all a heads-up.
I would hate for anyone to miss it.
Maybe you could comment at 11:11?

Are you a digital tentmaker?
John Saddington wrote an excellent post on his journey as a digital tentmaker and what being a digital tentmaker is all about. I remember the first time I heard the term. I was so excited! I wasn’t the only one with this idea, and now I had an awesome way to describe what I was trying to do!
It has been my family’s goal as missionaries to Italy, to become full-time digital tentmakers, and it’s so cool to hear about so many others who are interested in doing the same thing.
Of course, being a tentmaker doesn’t always have to be digital media. I’ve been able to use web, audio and blogging to leverage some success, but not everyone can do that.
When I first encountered the internet and the world wide web I had little plans of actually making a living off of it – I was more interested in kicking my brother off our shared AOL account so I could hear the sweet sound, “You Got Mail!”
Later I found an exciting full time career building online software for large and small businesses, so the internet became fully a part of my vocational DNA.
Although my passion for web and online technologies remained constant, the organizations for which I built the tools changed and eventually I was able to align my spiritual interests with my work and I went into vocational ministry as a programmer for a Church.

KidCheck is a child check-in system used by professional childcare providers, activity centers, gym/fitness centers and yes Churches!
Not to knock-on other child check-in solutions that are integrated into a ChMS, but KidCheck is built to do one thing and one thing only. You won’t find extra modules to add, here, just three editions and four pricing models of the same service: Secure child check-in.
Secure, easy to use, and my favorite aspect, affordable!

OpenDNS is a cloud-based Internet security that is free and easy to use.
A few months ago I was having some web issues (turned-out it was on the server end and not mine) and Tom recommended I use OpenDNS.
It was free, easy to setup, and I’ve been using it ever since.
If you want to increase your Internet security without a lot of IT knowledge and no hardware, this is solid solution.
