I have 11 active Gmail accounts. It’s sort of nutty when I put on my normal-people-thinking-cap. But I’d wager that you are no different because you my friend are also in IT. That, and the fact that Google Apps is a common solution to mail server management in the non-profit space.
Well I have wonderful news! A few days ago Google announced a new feature for power users like us that permits a user to stay signed-in with multiple accounts simultaneously.

They even provide express editions of their enterprise level development tools for hobby programmers.
Unfortunately, development on local Windows installations has been somewhat of a challenge because the local development environment often varied from production-level hosting environments.
Looking to mitigate this, Microsoft published WebMatrix – a web development framework seeking to make it significantly easier to build web applications on top of Windows.
First, we’ll look at some tutorial videos and then let’s talk about what this means from a development standpoint. [Read more…] about Microsoft Releases WebMatrix Beta

Back in the 90’s, we used to pay for our Internet service by the minute. No unlimited access (unless you had, you know, unlimited funds). Then, towards the end of the decade, that all changed with a flat free for unlimited access. Win!
Right?
It’s funny – web hosting has somewhat of the same history. You used to pay based on how much you used, but now you can get obscene amount of space and bandwidth for next-to-nothing.
But what if that’s overkill? Perhaps you need an alternative. Check it out…
