If you don’t have much time, but you want to learn a programming language, I strongly recommend you learn Python. It is quick to learn, fast to develop in, yet still remains powerful. It is pragmatic, but doesn’t have the hang-ups that other languages have. There’s a free e-book that teaches you Python, even if you’ve never coded before, called A Byte of Python[0].
