I recently had a new child and I’m again faced with the decision of whether or not to purchase the domain names relative to my new child’s name.
The problem with me is that I like to go “all or nothing” which means that I purchase 0 or I purchase every single variation on the planet, which is obviously costly.
Thoughts? Do you buy domain names for your children?

I’ve purchased the .com for both of my children. The domain availability was actually part of the name picking process. Yes, I know. I’m a geek.

We will be buying the .com for our children when they come along.

I’ve purchased domain names for both my child. I thought I was the only one.. I’ve stuck with only going with .com, .net and .org.

Augh, Arden Belle.com is taken. #doh.

I’ve got domains for nieces and nephews (I’m not a dad!) as birth presents and Christmas presents, etc. (isn’t that what’s geeky uncles are for?!)
I’ve found many of the ‘full name’ .coms, .nets and/or .co.uks (I’m a brit) have been taken. It’s fun trying to find different ways of getting a cool name with a domain in. iam(firstname).com / .net / .co.uk can often be got – simple to remember and still cool.
