It’s easy to think the world experiences life just like we do.
The truth of the matter is, we are very insulated from the rest of the world. Almost all of us who read ChurchMag are a part of the world’s richest 1%. Our lives differ so much.
In fact, I even found this to be true when I moved from the United States to Italy over two years ago, and I moved from one 1st world culture to another!
When we first arrived to our little town, the only way to get high-speed Internet was via a satellite dish that wasn’t going to be cheap. We had to use a wireless USB key to check our emails, and to this day, we still don’t have 3G.
Thankfully, a few months later, DSL arrived!
This brief bit of experience really got me thinking about how world wide, the world wide web really is.
