How many passwords do you use?
How many passwords does your Church office or IT department have?
When it comes to passwords, it’s easy to get lazy. Either by giving all of your systems — email, router, WordPress, ChMS, etc … — the same password, never changing the password, or creating a passwords that are too easy.
Even though you are not the CIA, it’s important to have a solid passwords and to update them regularly. If you’re using one password for all systems, you may want to consider revising that policy or create a tiered “security clearance” system with different password keys associated with each tier.
Here is a handy tool to randomly create an appropriate password:
Random Key Generator
There’s no need to use a 504-bit WPA Key for your email, so use a password that fits the job. 😉
The Random Key Generator provides:
- Decent
- Strong
- Ft. Knox
- CodeIgniter Encryption
- 160-Bit WPA
- 504-Big WPA
- 64-Bit WEP
- 128-Bit WEP
- 152-Bit WEP
- 256-Bit WEP
Need a new password? Refresh the page. It’s as easy as that!
