IconBox takes the ease and organization style of an iPhoto app and tailors it for icons.
Organize
The most important part of IconBox is organization. You create boxes (we have a title) that you import and drag-and-drop icons into and organize your icons however you see fit.
IconBox supports several different file formats, too:

- TIIF
- JPEG
- GIF
- iContainer
In addition to the standard Boxes, you can also use Smart Boxes. These work like smart albums in iPhoto or smart playlists in iTunes.

X-Ray Applications
X-Ray scans your application folder for the apps within and by clicking an app, it shows all the available icons and images within the application package, letting you have a look at them (Even with Preview.app), export them etc…
Online
If you’re even considering using IconBox, chances are, you love icons. So, IconBox builds online icon searching right inside of the app.
Everyday, IconBox has an Icon of the Day that you can import directly into IconBox, tweet or visit the artists website.
Need help finding a good icon website, IconBox hosts a list of icon focused websites.
Finally, Iconfinder:
Perhaps the most underestimated section in IconBox. It uses the iconfinder.com API which let’s you search through over 155.000 icons and allows you to instantly download them into IconBox by drag ‘n drop, conveniently creating all Icon Sizes as needed.
