This week’s episode is brought to you from one of our first Riddle Me This submissions!
Lisa Severson asked us three questions—including a questions about pulling in church tech volunteers.
Here’s what she submitted to the podcast:
Thanks for the invitation! I’m a Communications Director at a medium size church. Here are a couple things I’ve been thinking about for some time:
– I’d like to move my project requests from being casual meetings where we take notes about what a ministry is looking for – to something more formal, perhaps involving an online project request form. Any suggestions on effective platforms for this?
– I’m realizing there aren’t enough hours for our small team to fully accomplish things like photography, reporting, social media and graphic design to the extent I’d like. Have any great ideas on engaging an effective team of volunteers in these areas? I’m a little nervous, knowing the complications of pulling in volunteers.
– And, most of all, my husband and I would love to know the secret to successfully making a move to Italy. We wonder – is it just a romantic notion or a realistic possibility? 🙂
Thanks for your podcast. It’s encouraging to hear from others who “get” the world of communications!

As the only Seattle native affiliated with ChurchMag, I can vouch for the lack of rain AND coffee drinking categories. No comment on vampires. 🙂
